GENERAL INFORMATION
Summary

The untamed wilderness of this unique country makes Zimbabwe still one of Africa’s top hunting destinations. Formerly known as Rhodesia, Zimbabwe is a 150,820 sq. mile landlocked country between the Zambezi and Limpopo rivers. It hosts not only breath-taking savannah and woodlands but also large bodies of water such as Lake Kariba and the famous Victoria Waterfalls. Most hunting takes place in three different types of areas namely governmental hunting areas, tribal hunting areas and private hunting areas. Most of these territories are unfenced and open. Tsholotsho South is known for its majestic elephant bulls while Lake Kariba is home to excellent trophy crocodiles and hippos. When it comes to wing shooting, several species of duck, geese, partridge, guinea fowl, pigeon, dove and quail are available for hunting.

THE HUNTING
Organization

In Zimbabwe we can prepare your own safari, depending on what you want to hunt, you can combine any safari with the BIG 4 and extend it with hippo and crocodile and also combine it with any type of antelope.

Depending on the hunting area we go and the destination city we will have different ways to arrive to the camp.

The hunting days, will depend on the type of safari and animals you want to hunt, this example is based on a buffalo hunt with 10 days safary.

  • DAY 1

Arrive to Zimbabwe to Harare / Vic Falls / Bulawayo

Depending on the time of arrival and the distance we have to the hunting area, we will be forced to spend one night in a hotel until we can move to the camp

  • DAY 2

    Transport to the hunting area

Upon arrival at the camp, we will organize the luggage and test the rifles. If we had time we could hunt in the afternoon.

  • DAY 3 - 12

    10 Full hunting days

The normal activity of a hunting day is to get up early and have breakfast, usually leaving at early in the morning. In the hunting cars we always take a refrigerator with food and drink in case the hunting day is extended and we have to eat in the bush. It is used to hunt all the day.

  • DAY 13

    Leave the camp

This day is very important, as we must confirm all safari documentation, permits and payments. We must ensure that all trophies are in accordance with the export we want the addresses and customs agents are correct. Once everything is checked, we will move to the destination city and take a plane back home. Of course we can organize a few more days of sightseeing in this city.

ACCOMMODATION

All our camps are of a high level and perfect for our hunters, varying from the typical tent camp or the  lapas/Chalets with suite bathrooms, a spacious lounge, dining room and of course , the campfire.

The camp is run by generator power and most of them  has Wi-Fi and a swimming pool for those warmer summer days.
